Remote controlled water carrying robot

A four-wheeled robot is delivering water in a village in south India. The customised Husky robot is remote controlled and provides instructions to villagers in their local language. Developed by Canadian firm Clearpath Robotics, the robot was given a personality and uses a synthetic male voice activated by researchers using a remote control. Residents of Ayyampathy in Tamilnadu, India have welcomed a water-carrying robot into their community despite never experiencing such technology before. The project is seen as key to helping people, mainly women, who spend a great deal of time and energy carrying water from wells. Great. Join with me to congratulate Dr. Amol Deshmukh for this wonderful robot. Watch
